The belief that every person was created with a purpose in life is the same belief that derives my soul with a certainty that my purpose is to create. 

Art is the way I communicate with the “universe”, and the way I want to communicate with the rest of the world, to be allowed to show a different point of view – my point of view – of the beautiful details around us. 

May Almannai is a Qatari based self taught visual artist and illustrator. She primarily works in mixed media, combining digital and traditional painting techniques, Almannai has been experimenting with handcrafted watercolors, using both historical and modern pigments to create unique layers and granulations

Her work features bold, colorful surreal characters and environments, with Islamic patterns incorporated into the backgrounds, adding depth and cultural resonance through detailed patterns and painted textures.
